The Gunslinger Story
Within the U.S. Air Force’s 23rd Special Tactics Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Blue Team became known as the Gunslingers. As Air Force Combat Controllers, they operated alongside elite special operations forces in some of the world’s most demanding environments.
The Gunslinger identity was built on skill, trust, accountability and commitment to the team—standards passed from one generation to the next through deployments, hard lessons, shared experiences and sacrifice.
Among those traditions were three letters: SSS. Their meaning has always belonged to the Gunslingers themselves. Ask what they stand for and you may get an answer, a joke—or nothing at all. That mystery is part of the tradition.
Triple S Cigars grew from that brotherhood. Today, The Gunslinger carries that legacy forward in a different form—a cigar created to honor the men, the tradition and the standard behind the name.
